I want to thank Jason, and everyone at the Monastery again for welcoming me with such openness. I’m still amazed that I was granted this opportunity to see shining examples of the teachings of A Course in Miracles, and for the first time in a long while, I do not feel alone.

Part of me wanted to stay longer, but beneath that desire was the thought that I would be doing so for the wrong reason; as a way to avoid my problems. The stronger feeling was, and is, that my travels will continue.

Before I left, Jason asked if I had had any insights acim. What I’m about to share was not yet clear at that time; only on the drive away did it coalesce.

That morning, several lines from a Vance Joy song kept running through my head, “I never should have told you, never should have let you see inside. Don’t want it troubling your mind, won’t you let it be?” This confused me as I could not think of anything that I had said that I felt regret for.

Eventually, the phrase, “don’t want it troubling your mind” stood out. This reminded me that the most prominent fear I had in coming to the Monastery was that I would somehow interfere with its residents’ peace of mind, simply by my presence alone. This belief that I could negatively affect other people’s state of mind has been with me for many years, and has colored many of my past experiences and relationships.

This fear left my awareness soon after I arrived. On the drive away it rose again, but I remembered David saying in one of his videos that minds cannot attack. I cried and laughed, and now feel as if the belief is being (has been?) released.

There are other things that happened that felt important, but I can’t think of them right now.

While the majority of us have already been raised to think that prayer involves pleading to Lord to greatly help, save yourself, fix issues and carry people things nowadays, that’s not true prayer nor its purpose. Prayer in A Program in Wonders (ACIM) is very various and very beautiful. Higher than a track, it’s wondrous exchange of Love and thanks between Lord and His Designs that engages the forgiveness process to fix your brain before Prayer Song is all that remains. It’s the admission home so knowledge true prayer, and forgiveness, is worth the time in retraining the mind.

Prayer is changing (sharing) a Tune of Enjoy and Creation or judgments of the vanity centered on everything you look for (agree with) in the mind. There’s number different way. In the Class, the mind (content) is split between Lord and the vanity; and you’re choosing constantly with an area as cause for effect.

Types (all points with this world) are miscreations highlighting the ego’s judgmental believed system. We’ve managed to get up (miscreated this world) and can give it down anytime by repairing the mind (forgiveness). Correct prayer requires that correction of your head as God has nothing to do with forms.

What Prayer is Perhaps not:

When you are usually deciding, what you ask for whenever you wish is what counts. Once you plead in prayer to own Lord correct an application problem with another variety problem, you’re wondering the ego mind for help (not God). Those types and wants are considered more essential than God’s Enjoy that may stay concealed to the amount you decide on the illusion.

All additional things (forms) are needs. Different brands are wants, wishes, status, issues, vomiting, individual love (special relationships), presents and targets in this world, etc. They’re everything you choose as replacements for God’s Enjoy and the pride will distort the purpose of prayer by with them to further the illusion. Therefore, prayer cannot be about “forms” or “needs” in any way.

While many of us have been raised to think that prayer requires asking to God to simply help, save yourself, fix problems and bring us points these days, that’s not the case prayer nor its purpose. Prayer in A Class in Miracles (ACIM) is very different and really beautiful. Greater than a song, it is wondrous trade of Love and thanks between God and His Projects that uses the forgiveness process to improve the mind before the Prayer Music is all that remains. It’s the ticket house so knowledge correct prayer, and forgiveness, may be worth the time in retraining the mind.

Prayer is trading (sharing) a Tune of Love and Formation or judgments of the pride based on that which you ask for (agree with) in the mind. There’s no other way. In the Program, your brain (content) is separate between Lord and the confidence; and you are picking all the time with a part as reason for effect.

Forms (all things with this world) are miscreations sending the ego’s judgmental thought system. We’ve caused it to be up (miscreated that world) and can provide it up any time by fixing your brain (forgiveness). Correct prayer involves this modification of the mind as Lord has nothing to do with forms.

What Prayer is Maybe not:

Since you are usually determining, that which you look for when you hope is what counts. When you plead in prayer to own God resolve a form trouble with another variety problem, you’re wondering the vanity mind for support (not God). Those forms and needs are regarded more important than God’s Love that may remain hidden to the amount you select the illusion.

All outside points (forms) are needs. Different labels are needs, desires, position, issues, sickness, human love (special relationships), presents and goals in this world, etc. They are that which you choose as replacements for God’s Love and the pride will overlook the purpose of prayer by with them to help the illusion. Therefore, prayer cannot be about “forms” or “needs” in virtually any way.
